Lives and works in Paris, FR

Vincent Beaurin’s works are light, sentimental, resistant intermediaries.

Never smooth, sometimes abrupt, always physical, they are like the knucklebones, flints and pebbles that sometimes appear on their surfaces and which we like to manipulate in the hollow of our hands. Memento vivi. They ask us to be there and to locate ourselves, to abstract ourselves from our liquid world to establish a zone of contact to be invested physically and sensually, in a state of introspection and listening. They offer a powdery harmony, an intense calm, a vigorous serenity - that of the alchemist, of course, but above all that of an artist drawn by a radical quest: that of laying bare optical and pictorial phenomena, correspondences and synesthesias, a sincere state of the world and of art.

Vincent Beaurin’s works are part of the collections of MNAM - Musée national d’art moderne - Centre Georges Pompidou; FNAC - Fonds national d’art contemporain; MUDAM, Musée d’art moderne, Grand-Duc Jean, Luxembourg; LVMH, Cheval Blanc Randheli and Christian Dior Couture; Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain; Agnès B, MAD - Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Mobilier National collection.
