Biography

Born in 1983 in Vermont, US

After graduating from the Putney School, Suzannah Wainhouse went on to pursue her B.A. at Pratt Institute (2005). Wainhouse’s work is very much about the natural world and consciousness. She is greatly influenced by the connection and relationship between humans and animals. Much of the mythology behind the paintings is the story between the human and the animal and the anthropomorphic world. The imagery and ideas of the ‘other’ and the ‘alien’ often appear in her work as well as the idea of finding the center or the edge via mystical perspectives.
